Bulihan- week 16.....turkey?

Kumusta!

Thanks for the emails! I always, always appreciate it! Things are going well here! We've been living with the Forinash couple, a senior couple since August and it's been an interesting experience. They've been very nice and I appreciate everything they've done... I've never felt so spoiled in my whole entire life... they're a very neat couple with a very strong testimony and story... but we found an apartment, sa wakas! I'm so haaaapppppy about that!  It was a miracle, and we move in on Thursday! It's a big relief! It's been a great week! Lots of miracles and blessings. Funny story too.... this past Thursday, we were just wandering throughout our area trying to find an apartment and all of a sudden we ran across this turkey farm... and I saw the biggest, fattest, ugliest turkey I have ever seen... it even had a craggly, blue head thing... it was the first time I have ever seen a turkey here in the Philippines and it was funny because it was on Thanksgiving and we were discussing it and BAM it was there... it was pretty ironic. :)  we then celebrated the holiday by eating at Chow King... the Tofu is really delicious! :D The work is moving forwards here in Bulihan. Lony and Jr, (Brother Mario's wife and son) are progressing and they're excited for their baptism on the December 8th... we're still praying hard for them because there are a few hurdles left... but it's truly miraculous. Another investigator, Vilma is doing really well too. She has a strong testimony and it's so humbling to see her progression. We're trying to work with her husband too... and God is great. Lots of things are happening in Bulihan and I'm so excited for this. This past week, we also had mission tour. Elder Nielson of the seventy and his wife came and spoke to us and it was really powerful. President and Sister Stucki spoke too and it's always a revelatory experience. I love listening to them. Later on, we have a zone FHE... so that should be an interesting experience, my first and last one! :) haha.  It's been really sunny lately and so I've been getting a bit darker... I'm not sure what else to say.... :D Things are great! I love it here! Thanks again for everything!

Bulihan week 15..... great temple tour and great things up ahead...

Kumusta!

Thanks for the emails. I always appreciate them :).  It was a great temple tour on Saturday, By the way, it's only for who the missionaries invite... not for active members because it's put on by us. Brother Mario, his wife and son went! They loved it and really want to go back.. and so we're continually praying for them. We're helping Lony (his wife) and Jr get ready for baptism, so hopefully they won't be sleeping when we visit them :S.  They're really good, and it's so humbling seeing their progression. They're excited about family history work too. God is great and He is helping us out a lot. I love it over here. Vilma, another one of our investigators, is also progressing! It's amazing, usually there are many neighborhood children who swarm at her house when we come... and it's kinda distracting. But we watched the Restoration and at the end she told the children off and sent them away saying that they bring an evil spirit into her house by being noisy and she didn't want the good feeling she got from the movie to leave... it was amazing in more ways than one. Also, that day happened to be the only day where they had a DVD player, so it was another tender mercy that she was able to watch the movie. We're trying to teach her husband now too... so we'll see how that goes. The branch is great, the area is great and I love it here.... Lots of miracles.... but alas... not enough time. :S. So hopefully, next week might be a little longer (guess what, this email is longer than last week's email :) I thought you all would like to know that. :D.  Thanks for everything!

Bulihan- week 14.... temple, temple, temple... who loves the temple? I do!

Kumusta!

Thanks for the emails! I really appreciate it! My preparation day is today not on Monday because it was our temple day/preparation day today... pretty neat. It's been a week full of miracles from missing wallets to Brother Mario attending District Conference. God is helping us out a lot and I love this work. I love it over here and it's rained a little bit too. Brother Mario is amazing and his family is amazing too.... however, their baptism date has been postponed a week...so we're praying for them. They're progressing well along with our other investigators and it's been humbling to see this change take place. We also have a temple tour on Saturday and they're planning on coming... so we're pretty excited. It's also pretty amazing seeing how God is quickening His work around the world too... especially with the recent election news. People are getting curious to know and it's an exciting time. Sorry I really don't have much to write right now.. my brain isn't working :S but on Monday, it will be a longer one for sure!  There's just been lots of stuff to focus on and it's great to experience these lessons! :) Thanks again for everything!

Bulihan- week 13........ stay tuned next week for a more creative title.... :)

Kumusta!

Thanks for the emails! As always, it is appreciated greatly. It's been another great week full of miracles. Brother Mario's wife, Lony, is really amazing, keep her and the family in your prayers! :)  This past week, we've been visiting less-actives like crazy because it was the holidays and they would be at home.... and one of them came to church for the first time in a long time :) -Sister Aileen. It was really funny because she, sister Priscella (the one I told you about before) and Lony all fellowshipped each other. Two less-actives and one investigator. Sister Priscella tried to run away after Gospel essentials but Lony stopped her and said brightly, there's still relief society... and so she stayed :) It was pretty entertaining. We're praying for them and especially for Priscella and her husband... he's a work-in-progress. The branch is great and the work is slowly but surely moving forwards. Lots of miracles... but as always... lack of time :S, but I'll have more time next week, really I will, so it will be a longer one.. and hey, it will have a creative title :). I bet you're all enthused for that :) God is great and great things are happening here... it's a great area. Thanks again for everything! Salamat sa lahat!
